21 to 75 years – Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a Vehicle.
Categories on license
50cc – AM, 125cc – A1, 250cc-500cc – A2, 500cc (+) – A, Car/Quad – B
Drivers must hold the correct category to the vehicle they wish to rent.
If your driver’s license is not in the Roman alphabet (i.e. if it is in Arabic, Greek, Cyrillic or Chinese) you are required to bring an International Driving Permit and your domestic license. For driving licenses from countries not part of the international driving license treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
When renting within the EU, customers who do not hold a driving license issued by an EU country must also present an International Driving Permit along with their domestic license.
Deposit and Credit card Information
ACCEPTED: MasterCard , Maestro , Visa (not debit or prepaid)
NOT ACCEPTED: American Express. No other payment types will be accepted.
A valid credit card in the name of the lead driver must be presented at the rental desk in order to pre-authorise/block a security deposit. The credit card(s) must be embossed, and a PIN number may be required.
In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card, there is a lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card or the credit card is not in the lead driver’s name, the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.
In the case of Debit & Credit cards, authorization holds can fall off the account, thus rendering the balance available again, anywhere from seven (7) to Thirty-One (31) business days after the transaction date, depending on the issuing bank, and their policy. Holds on Debit cards may be released sooner.
The Rental Agency will not be held liable for any funds not released by the clients issuing bank.

Third-party liability protection (TP): (Includes tax) on all Scooters & Motorbikes (not mentioned above) Security Deposit / Excess on all Scooters 350 Euros & Motorbikes €500.
Drivers’ liability on all Third-party vehicles is capped at 2’000 Euros.
The Excess and Liability is the amount determined by the car rental supplier for which you can be held liable in case of damage/theft of the vehicle. Damage to or loss of tires, windscreens, glass, and undercarriage may not be covered by the CDW (Collision Damage Waiver). Please check with the rental agent at the desk.
Fuel policy: Pick up and return full.
Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel. To avoid incurring fuel charges, you will need to return it with the same amount of fuel as it had when you collected it. You may be required to leave a fuel deposit reserved or charged on your credit card, this will be released or refunded when you return the car full. Missing fuel will be charged on your return. The price per liter charged by the rental agent may be significantly higher than the price at the local service station. A €5 re-fueling charge may also be applicable.
Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk.
As the vehicle/s are registered under the company. Therefore all citations must be settled by the client to the rental agency. The driver/client does not hold the right to request to pay any citation/s personally and must settle the citation fee and an additional €5 in administration charges, with the rental agent at the desk prior to departing.

Conditions of optional extras
Please note the following: The price of optional extras is subject to change without notice. Optional extras are subject to availability. Charges made at the desk may be subject to local surcharges. Any damages of extras are to be paid in full by the driver/client.
Additional drivers can be added to your rental for a charge of 5EUR per day. Includes 18% tax.
All international crossings are disallowed. Vehicles are restricted to the islands of Malta & Gozo.
Drivers/clients take their vehicle to Gozo at their own risk. Our insurance company does operate their towing service in Gozo, in the case of an accident or mechanical failure, however, you may be charged additional fees on the Gozo Ferry, any incurred fees will be the driver’s responsibility. ST Rentals is not responsible and not liable for the time wasted returning back to Malta (even if to exchange the vehicle) and will not offer any refunds of the rental fee.
The minimum Rental Period is 1 day (Maximum of 24 hours)
Pick up is available from 08:30AM – Latest Return time is 18:30PM
If the client returns the vehicle later than the return time stipulated on the agreement, the driver/client will be charged an additional 1-day fee. The signing of agreements and vehicle checks take on average 30 minutes.
All vehicles are to be used only on Tarmaced roads and NO vehicle is to be used Offroad. There is a €100 fee for anyone caught irresponsibly using any vehicle, this includes driving off-road.
All vehicles are allowed to be driven on all roads. There are CVA charges for entering the center of Valletta.
Most parking is public, public parking is displayed with a White Box (NOT yellow or blue/green)
Still, be aware of signs displaying parking restrictions on certain dates and within certain times.
The vehicles displayed and the models listed are the most common vehicles used by our car rental partners. We cannot guarantee the make or model of the rental vehicle will be the same as the vehicle displayed on our website.

Form(s) of ID
A valid Driving License.
A printed version of your voucher must be produced upon arrival at the rental desk. Failure to present the voucher means the car rental agent may charge you at the local rates. Please note: We are not responsible for overcharges on rentals where the voucher was not presented to the local agent on the collection of the vehicle. If you do not present the required documents, the documentation is not valid or you do not have enough funds on your credit card, the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle and no funds will be reimbursed.
Cancellations, Refunds & no-show policy
What is your cancellation policy for Fully pre-Paid bookings?
1- If you cancel your booking up until 3 days prior to your rental, you will receive a refund minus €50. If your online payment is less than €50, no refund will be made for your Vehicle hire booking.
2- If you cancel your booking within the last 2 days OR fail to cancel your booking and are a no-show you will receive no refund.
3 – All cancellations should be made on our online portal OR with the car hire agent. Should you agree to cancel directly with the car hire agent on arrival, you must also inform us of this change to your booking.
4 – In the case, you Cancel your booking you will receive an email to confirm the cancellation at the email address you have provided during the online booking process.
What is a no-show? A ‘no-show’ occurs for the following reasons:
1 – You didn’t inform us about your cancellation at least 48 hours prior to your pick-up time.
2 – You failed to pick up the car at the arranged time and date.
3 – You failed to provide the documentation that’s required to pick up the car.
4 – You failed to provide a credit card with enough available funds on it.
In the event of any of the above, no refunds will be made to you.
The car hire company reserves the right to refuse a car if you fail to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car’s security deposit.
Refund – Under NO Circumstances does ST Rentals co ltd offer any refunds once the rental has commenced. If your vehicle stops for any reason, we will exchange it for another vehicle depending on the availability at the time.
